bandwidth ? is 100MHz scope really 100 MHz ?31 Oct 2007 13:16 GMT3
when an oscope is advertised as 100 MHz scope  what exactly is
the useable bandwidth ?
my 100Mhz scope only has Horizontal divisions down to .05 usec
which means 5 x 100 MHz periods squashed into  a division, yes ?

input power of spectrum analyzer24 Oct 2007 11:47 GMT4
I have a spectrum analyzer with 50ohm input. It is marked the max.
30dBm/50VDC at the input. The 30dBm roughly calculates to be 136dBuV
at 50ohm impedance. The signal i am observing has frequency components
at f1,f2,...fn with magnitude close to 110dBuV. I did not understand

Advantest Memory Card?17 Oct 2007 22:19 GMT3
I'm looking for an Advantest R3361C spectrum analyzer memory card.
Checked with several web services but no luck. It comes in 32 K (A09505)
and 128 K versions (A09506). These are early versions of PCMCIA cards
and probably do not conform to current standards. They are 54mm (W) x 86
Fluke 87 flat batteries14 Oct 2007 11:42 GMT5
I have an original Fluke 87 (not 87 III, 87 IV etc) that has a rather
annoying fault.  If I put a new alkaline battery in, it goes flat in a month
or so.  This is with the meter being switched off (dial in the off position,
not relying on auto-power-off) and unused.  Otherwise as ...

IFR A8000 tech question power supply08 Oct 2007 18:16 GMT1
I'm working on an A8000 that seems to have a flaky power suppy.
After changing the electrolytic caps, the stink is gone but after
sitting, it still blows fuses.  On 12V input, it still blows the 7.5A
fuse.  If I change it, turn it back on, it works. I've ran it all
Tek 2235 power supply08 Oct 2007 02:43 GMT18
Hello,
I've got the 12khz chirp problem but followed the posts here and still can't
seem to get it going. I would greatly appreciate any help.
I find nothing that others have done will restore operation, even partially.
