I am triyng to repair a  HP 8405A vector voltmeter sampling probe
equipped with a surface mounted  P channel JFET marked either 32 or
S61. Has anybody an idea about the identification ? Thanks

yesterday I got my used Lecroy9400 scope. Unfortunately the second channel is
broken.
A signal in the second channl eg. a sine wave looks like as if there where
only two or three quantization steps.

with the tek 2236 series scope ...
how important  are the factors of {input capacitance,
compensation capacitance }  in matching the probe to scope ?
why are three different versions of he same probe model number

This is for the next guy who buys one of these scopes, so you don't spend
all day scouring the web looking for the manual.

The faults are in the trigger circuits.
Trigger test failed.
