Gadget to block local cellphone transmissions?28 Feb 2007 12:09 GMT26
I am really getting tired of people shouting into their phones while I sit
on a bus or train seat near them or even in an outdoor cafe. Is there any
small gadget that would create very local interference. One or two blasts
should put a flea in their ears and get them off the phone.

Question about HP 16500 sampling15 Feb 2007 08:06 GMT1
I'm using an HP 16500A in the lab and was wondering about how this
unit samples.  Each pod seems to have a clock and it looks like from
the menus that you can assign a clock to capture events.  But that
limits me to the fastest clock on the board, which is the system
Early 1970's Radar Range10 Feb 2007 03:04 GMT3
I own an early 1970's Amana Radar-Range (with the analog dials and all
chrome front). It still works great but the window is all clouded and
dirty inside. I have a replacement I'd like to use. Here's my
problem... I can't remove those "safety" screws they used on the door!

The "Woo-Woo"-An Endangered Species?03 Feb 2007 15:30 GMT4
Before Hewlett-Packard invented the negative-resistance-stabilized,
Wien Bridge oscillator-and patented it, kicking the a.s of overrated
GenRad and others-generating a low distortion sine wave at low (audio)
frequencies that was stable and level was quite a problem. Before

I'm trying to dump the data from this thing.  Has anyone successfully

Thanks,

Reliable function generator01 Feb 2007 11:57 GMT2
I need to replace several BK Precision 3MHz function generators in our labs
with something similar. Several have broken and they are only a few years
old. The model is 4000. I notice that the BK Precision 4000A model replaced
it. I wonder if the quality is any better.
New software for Agilent 6000 scopes01 Feb 2007 08:57 GMT1
Just a quick heads-up for anyone with an Agilent 6000 scope - there is  a recent (Dec) sofwtare
update with some useful new features, including web remote control/screen capture ( at last!) and
bus display of MSO digital inputs.
If you have an older model and have never upgraded, ...
