Tektronix power transformer for tube amp!08 Aug 2004 10:20 GMT2
A friend of mine just gave me a big power transformer that he
took out of an old Tektronix tube oscilloscope. He doesn't remember
the model of this scope but he says that it had a big air filter in
the back and had two leather handles on top. They probably where all
How to buy probes for oscilloscope07 Aug 2004 23:04 GMT6
Hi all. Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm a rookie when it comes to
oscilloscope technologies. What should I be looking out for when buying
probes for, say, a 100MHz 'scope? Is it recommended to buy used probes? Are
probes rated according to max bandwidth? If I buy a probe ...

rf telemetry question07 Aug 2004 15:50 GMT3
Ok, here's my situation:
I have this project where I would like to do some remote sensing of
16-20 analog inputs, about ten samples per second, and receive it in
real time on my PC.  Don't need much precision; 8 bits is plenty.
Where to sell Tektronix Probes07 Aug 2004 05:21 GMT1
I have some probes I'm looking to sell but I can't find a reasonable
value to sell them at.  And I don't really know where to post them
forsale.  I don't expect the retail value, I just want to know what a
fair price would be.

Basic KWh Power Meters?06 Aug 2004 02:52 GMT6
I'm looking for a basic power meter that would allow me to measure how
much electricity my major home appliances use.  I've already put
together a little adaptor that lets me insert my multimeter into the
circuit to do instantaneous readings on lower wattage things (e.g. my
HP 3577A power supply problem, need service manual06 Aug 2004 00:45 GMT2
I am working on HP 3577A network analyzer. Its power supply does not work at
all. In Hi Temp area, the LED is on. No other voltage presents. Two MOSFET
are not working. I am not sure it is because of driver or themself. Checked
the driver, it shows 60Hz signal to ground. Can't ...

Converting mains battery charger for 12v operation04 Aug 2004 17:21 GMT24
I have a Canon XL1-S camcorder with a CA-910B mains charger (this is the
charger that comes with the camera as default).  I'd like to convert the
charger so I can power it from car battery.
I've taken the lid off the charger.   I think I can connect an 8.45volt DC

What RF signal generator comes to mind? UK02 Aug 2004 11:48 GMT4
I'm not an accomplished electronics person.
I was told that if it was designed right you could make a (2.0-2.5Mhz)
stabilized analogue VFO tune in very small increments, say 2 or 3 hz.
(Electronically stablized by varacters).
Gould Oscilloscope01 Aug 2004 21:02 GMT10
I recently acquired a Gould 2608 oscilloscope that I have several
questions about.
First is the fact that the imputs use a connector that I have never
seen before. They almost look like a push on F-connector but are not.
