My old Fluke 8024A thinks a charged NIIMH cell (1.2V) is supplying 15V, and a near-dead 9V batt is at 52V (!) Their new DMM's are priced a biit too high for me.. Does anyone have an idea what Fluke charges to fix these old meters?

I'm working with some silicon chips and I'm looking for a type of oven that can heat up the solder finish rather quickly (in seconds would be great) but not so much for the body of the chips. I was thinking that an IR furnace will probably do it but someone said
