Tek 7603/7D20 Manuals?? anyone?? anyone??31 Jan 2004 14:43 GMT3
Dear NewsGroup,
I recently purchased a Tektronix 7603 Oscilloscope with a 7D20 Programmable
Digitizer plug-in from the local electronic dismantlers, and I haven't been
having much luck in obtaining the manuals for it.
New Digital Tek Scopes30 Jan 2004 20:16 GMT6
Like the TDS 1002 are going for about $1000.
For audio applications, why should I shell out $500-$600 for a calibrated 465 or 475 scope that 25+ years old when I can get new for a bit more?
Are the TDS scopes Chinese crap? or am I blowing my
$$$ on the old stuff?

Hi, all. Before I state my problem, let me say that I did do an extensive
search first and came up with more questions than answers
Anyway, the other day after playing some of the Matrix Soundtrack just wee
bit too loud, one of my Paradigm speakers started sounding uncomfortably
Tektronix 475A, trigger does not work?30 Jan 2004 02:02 GMT10
I'm looking for a copy of the repair/maintenance manual, or at least
the circuit diagrams, for the Tektronix 475A/DM44 scope.
The trigger for channel A does not work; the corresponding LED (or is
that a lamp?) does not light up as it should. I can only obtain a
FS: HP 5300 series counter/timers29 Jan 2004 03:02 GMT2
As a sideline/hobby I buy up HP counters in the HP 5300-5312 series
and restore them to good working order. These are smallish solid state
modules which generally work off AC power and are meant for bench use.
They are NOT rack mount and they don't take up huge amounts of shelf
Most useful tip to use with Weller soldering station WES50/5127 Jan 2004 15:49 GMT1
I'm planning to purchase one of these units for some printed circuit
work.  I was wondering what tip most people find useful, other than
the standard ETA tip that comes with the station.  Thanks.

Can anyone help? I own a 36inch Sony widescreen tv, and a Pioneer 565A

When I play a dvd on the tv, a ghostly vertical strip runs constantly
from the right to the left of the screen. It makes watching dvds very
My balls are mini-nuclear-reactors26 Jan 2004 19:39 GMT7
They produce enough energy for portable TVs,walkmen, handheld video

Mid-range RFID project26 Jan 2004 09:22 GMT6
I am preparing for a mobile, mid-range RFID project. It involves
reading up to a dozen or so tags with a portable or hand held device
in a range upto 2-3 meters. The data transmission doesn't have to be
fast, but there may be more than one readable tag within reading zone.

My Spaceship should fly to Uranus in some months. How can I protect the
elecronics from the dangerous cold and radiation in space?

Test eqpt & tantalums25 Jan 2004 20:16 GMT1
I like good test equipment and when I started in the 1950s good was
homebrew, war surplus and the local radio TV shop.  Then in the RCAF it was
a Tek 545 and later at university it was a Tek 545B. (I worked my way thru
college as a TV repairman working 20 to 30 hrs per week!) ...
Looking For Cases, Other Plastic Parts for HP 6214A,B,C series Power Supplies25 Jan 2004 02:06 GMT1
I have several of these now, mainly because no one else wants a PS with
a cracked or broken case.  The PS itself works fine, it's just laying in
pieces all over the place!  I even need binding posts for one of them,
the plastic is cracked so badly.
