This might be one of those cases where turning on the light may trip
the breaker due to inrush current.
Rigol DSO useful bandwidth ?29 Jan 2010 05:40 GMT5
** Hi to all,
that "dumped"  Rigol DSO continues to exceed my expectations.
The latest surprise came about when I investigated a high level of noise in
the trace at high gain settings  -  not inherent in the DSO mind you, but
"Happy" Invasion Day28 Jan 2010 13:27 GMT15
I hope you all get nice and toasted celebrating 221 years of
oppression, dislocation and dispossession of the original inhabitants
of this increasingly sunburnt land, and more recently 10 years of the
racist rabble rousing regime of John “Eva Braun”* Howard and his nasty
Cell phone question28 Jan 2010 11:51 GMT2
Cellular phone questions:
Do cellular phones only transmit to the nearest tower, and then at
point they go down into the underground (buried) land line
infrastructure... and make the entire journey via the landlines until

Kay Step Attenuator Question27 Jan 2010 20:20 GMT1
Hi All , I don't know if I post to the right group but here it goes... Kay
Elemetrics used to make step attenuators in 50, 75 and 90 Ohms years ago.
The 2 first type usage is obvious but the 90 ohms units is not too clear. I
have one of these but really don't know what they were ...
Replacing a cordless handset.26 Jan 2010 14:35 GMT5
We have a Telstra F2300 landline telephone. It has a base station with an

decent SLA battery suppliers, Perth?26 Jan 2010 01:56 GMT8
May wind up needing a quantity of SLA's to refit an APC UPS.  The
usual suspects list comparable units - 12v 5Ah 90W x 70D x 112H (+
terminals) - but they only have 4.8mm spade terminal.  The UPS
harnessing uses 1/4" and at the currents involved the size mismatch

Is this at all possible in the real world?
Light dimmer25 Jan 2010 18:29 GMT14
I want to make light dimmer for my car to use as daytime running lights

Service?24 Jan 2010 09:52 GMT14
