So simple, just a wired remote power switch. Looks ideal for several

I need to make a device or just a circuit which consists of a push

button is pressed, the device records its current location (lat and
long) and sends it off in an email. How feasible is this? I was

12V toaster27 Dec 2008 08:58 GMT20
I had this silly idea to rewire a toaster to run on 12V. If I make the wire
runs inside 20 times shorter then it should work but obviously I can't
solder so how would I make joins? I was thinking of running the +ve at one
end of the toaster and the negative at the other and just ...
"Chisel" tip from Altronics is actually round?26 Dec 2008 11:10 GMT8
I own a soldering iron from Altronics (T2442) and I received a round tip
with it.
However I've read that chisel tips can be easier to work with, so I went
to the website and found a suitable "chisel" tip (T2434) at
Hint: removing moulded mounting pillars26 Dec 2008 10:30 GMT2
I use ABS sealed boxes for packaging, the ones I buy (Altronics H0310 & al)

pillars to be an inconvenience, they never suit the spacing of what I'm
mounting and they take up a lot of space. The first thing I ...

7805 regulators are regulating at 7 volts?20 Dec 2008 23:27 GMT10
I ordered  eight TO-220 7805ABC regulators from Mouser
electronics. The 0-20 V digital LED panel meter I got didn't have the
needed regulator power supply, so I had to  build it. The DPM is for
monitoring a 12 volt battery, and so the input sensing wire to the DPM
