I have a few laptops which have a broken power connector.  It is virtually impossible to repair them.  I'm sure I saw somewhere a device which was essentially a power supply which powered the laptop through the battery connector.  Does anyone know where I can get one?

I have a 12v bulb 12w with a switch with only a positive wire and no chance of getting a negative wire to pick-up.  It is an architrave switch so not a lot of room.  Is there any way I can get an indicator light/LED to work.

A friend of a friend dropped his laptop around today. Totally dead,
apparently he got it wet (don't want to know how). Took it too a local PC
repairer????. Who promptly switched it on while it was still wet, owner said
it went for half a second and died a painful death.

In our bedroom we have a split system Daiken inverter type air
conditioner.
On two occaisions now, we have had geckos get into the outside unit
and land up in the electronics, causing rhe controller board to fail.

Turbo Surf on on biofuel with 9Lb boost , next step is water injection
on boost , now of course I could just add water in a mist between the
turbo and intercooler  when the boost light comes on but any ideas about
a slightly better controller circuit ?

Recently got a 2nd HD Tv. The cable comiing into the house goes through a
3-way spitter.
I've noticed that the two TV will pick up most stations but not all I'm
suppose to get.

What is the most efficient way to produce 24 v DC at 10 amps from 12 v DC?
