I need amplify a 147KHz sinewave to 100~300V p-p.  I was hoping to find
something I could just connect to a function generator.  Very low power,
probably not even a watt, needs to drive 100~300V into a 1000pF load...
Any equipment suggestions?

Just bought some cheap IRF840's which turned up today with a poorly
printed part number and the ON Semi logo sloping downhill at an angle.
  I tried searching for the part number on their website but don't get
any hits so far so I'll keep looking at this stage.

I was attempting to verify my oven thermometer using a k-type
thermocouple attached to my multimeter.  Putting the probe into the
oven, the displayed temperature quickly rose to match my oven
thermometer, then slowly kept climbing until it was well over 100
