Dumpster diving for servos, sensors, etc?17 May 2008 07:58 GMT3
I'm working on a robotics project at home, and I've been able to scavenge
lots of DC motors, steppers, gears, encoder wheels, IR emitter-detector pair
sensors, etc. from old inkjet printers.
I'd really like to get some servos to work with, and I've been Googling

EPROM Programmers14 May 2008 21:51 GMT1
I have just acquired a daughterboard based system for the ECU in my car. It
uses EPROMs with updated/revised/modified data to allow different components
to be used on the motor.
The chips currently installed are AMD AM29F010B chips. I'm looking for a
Help needed with a Pye P35 valve radio14 May 2008 17:36 GMT6
Hi, I am planning to restore the above as I can get hold of the components.
The radio receives lw/mw and 6 sw bands.
It was working ok and then the volume suddenly dropped to about half that it
should be, the potts have been cleaned and are not noisy.

After circuit diagram and description Musicolour III13 May 2008 10:37 GMT10
Back in the 70's, Electronics Australia published a kit design for a
Musicolour 3.  I have one that has ceased to work.  Has anyone got a
copy of the original circuit and circuit notes?  Would appreciate a
copy.
money maker13 May 2008 05:20 GMT1
YOU KNOW THAT YOU SPEND AT LEAST $6.00 "EVERY PAY
PERIOD" ON USELESS STUFF, ME TOO. SO I THOUGHT, WHAT THE HECK, I'M
GOING TO TRY ONE OF THESE "SCAMS". NOW TO MY AMAZEMENT, I AM CHUCKLING
ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK WEEK AFTER WEEK WITH My PILES OF 1$ BILLS. I
End-to-end design in Protel Schematic and Autotrax12 May 2008 15:13 GMT4
This falls under the ehading of "dumb questions" for some, I'm sure.
In Schematic, semiconductor elements appear with their pins labelled with their
function (A/K, E/B/C etc) whereas POST expects 1,2 (,3) etc to be able to
generate a valid netlist  - otherwise none of the ...

AC/AC Converter12 May 2008 02:12 GMT22

Tumble dryer power switch problem11 May 2008 06:30 GMT4
It's a Westinghouse LD505e
As from today I have to hold the power switch in all the time otherwise it
switches itself off. I used to be able to just press once for on, and again for
off. Other than that it works fine.
Relay Behavior -- Any Ideas?10 May 2008 21:39 GMT10
I know very little about electronics (E=IR is about my limit).
A relay on the control board for my espresso machine switches power to
the 1200W heating element.  Normally, it closes each time power is
called by the thermostat device.  But lately, the relay clicks but
