My coil winder is from the 1920s and no manual and when I picked it up in a
very sorry state, it was minus the tensioning aparatus, so never seen.
This ETA hand winder is something like the Avo Douglas coil winder but the
manual for that is not very helpful on picture or description ...

Hope I can get a little help here and I'm stumped!
I've got a pulse going to a coil, Normally I use a 3w Metal film resistor to
collapse the field at a set rate and adjust the values of the resistor to
change the rate at which the field is dampened.

I'm sorry for my low level knowledge about electronics. I hope this group
can help me.  I use a compaq Tower PC from 1998.

So I heard about a guy who has a fake water heater that was actually a bank
of lead-acid batteries with an inverter. The idea being he gets power for 8
hours a day to charge the batteries and then powers his home from the
inverter, so he gets all his energy at at the cheap 6c ...
