Something like a rechargeable one that can be adjusted at least from 5VDC to 12VDC (preferably from 0V to 30VDC), that is regulated and that is suitable to bring out on small service jobs to power ...

A news report this afternoon related to a house fire. According to the
reporter, the fault was thought to be attributable to an "overloaded power
point, which was connected to a wide screen TV and DVD player". Yikes! I
figure a worst case power consumption of 400 Watts! Overload? ...

What resister would do this and what end goes toward to 1.5 volt side?

battery compartment, corroded the battery terminal away and as a result the

Hi I have an akai tv, CTK147, (its really old), but was a goodie
once.  There is no sound and no picture. Has anyone ever had a go at
fixing one of these models(or even any akai?). I am guessing the power
supply. Help appreciated.

Hi. I want to understand adsl better so I can diagnose a faulty or
weak signal when I see it. My own broadband at home is standard adsl
