I to want to input an RS232 Serial or USB signal into a wireless device to be received by a PC on a 802.11 wireless network. The wireless device should be portable and be battery operated. Does anyone have a circuit or is there a commercial module that can do this?

The independent is the opposite of the internals of what a - "transformer" is in this day & age? You can reverse the polarity on most minor voltage systems - & it does not even seem to matter! Why is this?

Was at a friends place, he had changed some of his incandescants to CFL's about 6 years back, and a couple of them had failed. Opened the fixture and found that parts of the white plastic internals almost crumbling away when touched, but only where they would have been
