Conductive epoxy instead of Solder?08 May 2007 20:38 GMT4
Has anyone used conductive expoxy instead of solder
to assemble a PCB?  I currently apply Pb/Sn solder
paste, then pop the board into my trusty $29 toaster
oven for a couple minutes.  But now I am trying to

Liteon LTD5621AG Numeric LCD PinOut ?08 May 2007 16:58 GMT2
I got ahold of some green Liteon LTD5621AG 2-digit LED numeric
display modules but can't find a pinout diagram anywhere on

Rather than destroy some of them trying to find out I thought

Do they make any kind of stereo with everything in one compact unit?

cases my tech's are on the same or in some  cases are on significantly
higher wages. I guess there are to many people who can design circuits these
days and not enough who can put them together? And hardly no ...

Hard drive motors...06 May 2007 23:36 GMT4
Is there a simple way to re-use the motors from old hard drives... I assume
that they are some sort of DC / 3phase pulsed motor, but has anyone had any
luck driving them external to a drive.
They are easy to salvage, and I was hoping to be able to use some.

We'd bought the Dick Smith branded "Digitor resin (sic) cored solder

To cut a long story short, neither product works very well: The solder
