A friend of mine is looking for a 5K watt transformer or higher for some
project he is working on not sure exactly what it deals with.  Does anyone
know where I can find one for cheap or free?  He lives in Hilo, Hawaii.

Could it cause a problem if a solenoid like the one below is left on
for several hours or a day? I am trying to invent something where it
