| Current sensing? | 10 Apr 2006 12:55 GMT | 8 |
I need to sense the operation of a couple of pumps in the 1 to 2kW range. Measuring the actual current would be nice, but just knowing they're operating would be enough. I'd rather not use shunts - I think there's enough current to be able to see what's going on by attaching ...

| Diode Questions | 09 Apr 2006 21:29 GMT | 6 |
I am working on a small electronics project that needs a few 2N388 geranium diodes. The only problem is that they are hard to find and expensive. I figured I would give another NPN diode a try but I'm not really sure what to look for. Can I just look for a close match based

| Gas-main broadband | 07 Apr 2006 22:11 GMT | 8 |
I recently saw that a firm proposes using existing natural-gas piping to deliver broadband to homes. I think that's not a new idea - and I recall a story from Popular Electronics or Electronics Illustrated, circa 1957-1960, that showed an antenna farm atop a hill near Port
