Local source for bicolour LEDs?07 Mar 2006 12:28 GMT7
I am trying to get a red/green bicolour LED in a standard 3mm bullet style.
Doesn't matter if it is 3-lead common cathode or 2-lead bipolar, but must be in
that housing style.  All I've been able to locate are 5mm bullet or 3mm pin.
Anyone know a local (oz) source?

multimeter that has a transistor test socket for hfe testing06 Mar 2006 16:44 GMT60
I just bought a multimeter that has a transistor test socket for hfe
testing.  My PNP transistors it says are 180 or so, and that sounds right,
assuming it's some kind of 'gain' measurement.  But all of NPN transistors
it says have values of 1 or 2, or in case, 3.  I'm sure I'm ...

Okay so the nice folks here at work have decided to procure an H-P 214 pulse generator cheap off ebay.  And guess what, it

Quick examination revealed the output tubes were gassy - the getter looks like chalk.  And here's the even worse problem...

PCB Board05 Mar 2006 17:53 GMT7
My company produces 2 boards for a fire alarm system we make.  1 board
is a momentary push button, and a multi-coloured led.
The second board is the same board; however, allows you to connect any
push button / toggle switch and led you wish.

Cheap, high amp dc power supply?05 Mar 2006 00:18 GMT2
Is there any way to make a dc power supply capable of 50+ amps a
12-13.8 vdc?  Basically, I'm looking for something to simulate th
power from a car without the whole battery and charger setup.  Part
express sells a nice rackmount one, but I'd rather not part with $190
