USB oscilloscopes13 Feb 2006 04:04 GMT1
I am looking at USB interfaced PC O-scopes and was wondering if anyone has
experience with either PICO or Link in a 100MHz dual scope configuration.
I have access to plenty of equipment at work, so this is to fill my home
and/or hobby wish list.
picaxe with LM355Z(temperature sensor)13 Feb 2006 03:47 GMT6
Has anyone succeeded in creating a thermometer using the LM355z
temperature sensor?   I am keen to use it rather than the popular
ds18b20 because of cost and the calibration facilities it provides.   I
just have not seen any circuit diagrams around.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

fuses on speakers11 Feb 2006 12:08 GMT10
I ran a amplifier via  a fuse on the speaker and while the audio was loud it
wasn't as loud as it should be, I took the fuse out (soldered over it) and
the sound was much greater. For testing I also was running the mains input
via a 2A variac (which I also took out). The speaker ...

Strange watch behavior10 Feb 2006 22:03 GMT15
At about 6:50 this morning whilst having breakfast I noticed a burst of
interferance on the radio (FM). It went on for about 20 secs - enough
time for me to fiddle with the radio before it came back to normal. Ten
minutes later upstairs in the bathroom I noticed my watch had stopped

EEPROM M27C51210 Feb 2006 02:57 GMT2
I have a M27C512 chip that I need to copy, however, it seems as though
there is a copy protection on the chip.  Is there an IC programmer
that lets you make a 1 to 1 copy of a protect IC chip.
Every time I try to do a read from the chip, all it reads is FF FF FF.

Panasonic camera remote release.09 Feb 2006 03:23 GMT3
The FZ20 uses a remote release [not supplied with the kit] which plugs
into a 2.5mm socket. Does anyone know if this is just a simple unpowered
switch? I'd like to make a long extension without making a mess of the
electronics! Any help would be much appreciated.
