Use voltage converter backward10 Jan 2006 18:37 GMT2
I got a Foreign Voltage Converter made by Recoton. Like others in
Wal-Mart, it converts 220-240 volts AC to 110-120 volts AC. I want one
that can convert the other way, 110-120 volts to 220-240 volts. Is it
possible I plug in 110 volt into the output end of this and expect 220
3.5 mm -> XLR adaptor?10 Jan 2006 13:00 GMT5
I want to make an adaptor cable which has a 3.5 mm stereo plug on one
end and a male XLR plug on the other end.
The XLR socket (which the cable will plug into) is a microphone input
and I want to be able to connect a CD/mp3 player to it via the adaptor
RS232 Voltage Levels09 Jan 2006 17:26 GMT34
I've got a datasheet for a chip that takes an RS232 serial input with
a protocol of 9600,N,8,1.  It indicates the voltage level at this
input is hardware-selectable to either +/- 12V(as found from a PC
serial port), and either normal or inverted TTL level(0-5V). I plan on
lux from a standard lamp09 Jan 2006 10:02 GMT3
How much lux would you get from a standard lamp, I tried to find out on

Or to put it another way if you ran a 1 Watt LED (about $20) as a night

Plasma Power suppy fried07 Jan 2006 20:48 GMT1
A friend has two large Plasma screens with burned out power supplies.
He's a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer at a 24 hour news channel and can
fix any electronic equipment if he has a schematic or can identify the
parts.

Hi,  Trying to download datasheets from the Microchip website and getting
nowhere. I click on the PDF icon, the browser says it's downloading, but

need to know or is this just a case of waiting longer?   TIA

Hopefully some nice DDR guru is out there...
My DDR design is for a single REGISTERED DDR modules (64 bits wide plus
ECC/parity bits).  The module was acting like cas latency was 2.5 when I had

Help hook up a Vectrex controller to a PC05 Jan 2006 10:46 GMT7
Okay, so I'm writing an article about how to play classic vector arcade
games on your Vectrex. I've got it all working nice, but I'd like to
create an interface to use the original Vectrex contoller. Here's what I
know.
