I have a coiled chime out of an old clock. Using electronics and a
solenoid I want to have the chime strike twelve times at midday and six
chimes at six p.m. No chimes at any other times. Preferably battery
powered. And no clock face.

My son has a drum practice room (heavilly soundproofed thank goodness). As
part of the set-up for band rehearsal they use 2 microphones.
I want to install a 'kill switch' near his feet so he can cut them out if
they start to feed-back (he has blown several amps and speakers ...

Does anyone remember the Technology Assistance Program, or something
like that? I think it was a phreaking spin-off from the Yippie party.

I figured that an SMPS controller IC receives power from one of the
windings on the transformer core. The controller then uses PWM to

Just got a Compro DVB T300 TV card
I've had this for a few months now but haven't quite
got round to installing it and leaving it running in my
