16F628 in circuit programmer16 Dec 2005 23:57 GMT5
I've been looking at in circuit programs for a new project I'l like to
start. I reckon I'd need a in circuit programmer as I'm new to the
16h628 and would probably compile my code a few hundred times before it
works :)
Equations for flyback convertor - derive help.16 Dec 2005 21:57 GMT2
I found this excellent design procedure for flyback SMPS:

Beautiful equations! But I'd like to see the derivations. I could
proceed upto a certain point, but when VRO came, I faltered.
How to put Air-Gap in EI cores?16 Dec 2005 15:23 GMT7
One application note helped me calculate the Air Gap in the center
branch of EI core, for my SMPS design.
I'm about to purchase an EI core and bobbin. But how do I create the
Air Gap (0.4 mm) ?
how to control an inkjet catridge?16 Dec 2005 14:19 GMT4
Might someone happen to know a way to control the inkjet cartige with
pulse signals instead of the computer?

Battery charging with SMPS question.16 Dec 2005 10:01 GMT2
I'm trying to build a basic car battery charger.
The charger will use a 14.4V, 4A SMPS to charge the battery.
The SMPS output will be directly connected to the battery terminals
[other suggestions?]. The SMPS will be a flyback convertor and I have
THE WHIRLWIND OF GAMBLING16 Dec 2005 09:12 GMT6

Free dual trace oscilloscope16 Dec 2005 07:54 GMT1
I am in the process of moving & need to get rid of an oscilloscope.
It's a 10 mhz Heathkit dual trace from the late 70's.  I know, not
worth much in $$$ (looked at selling it on ebay, where similar units go
for about $20, it's not worth the time/trouble to pack properly for
Non-linear DC amplifier?15 Dec 2005 19:02 GMT12
I'm looking for a circuit to linearise a thermocouple mV signal, so I
can display temperature on a cheap digital multimeter.   In particular,
I'd like to convert the output of an R-type thermocouple.  The
conversion need not be very accurate - an error of 10 degrees would not
Notebook PC with 1400x1050 or higher display resolution wnd with 3.x GHz CPU15 Dec 2005 17:20 GMT3
I'm searching for a notebook PC with 1400x1050 or higher display resolution
on 15.x" or 17" display.
So far I found the following notebooks but they are slow (1.xGHz).
Do you know any other notebook with 1400x1050 res. and with 3.xGHz?
Looking for opamps with ability to tolerate input voltage above V+ ?  15 Dec 2005 15:18 GMT6
I have a board which is currently using several LT1491's, specifically for
their ability to tolerate up to 44 volts above V+ at the inputs. The down
side, is that they are expensive, and frequently out of stock. I'm curious
is anyone out there is familiar with a similar device ...

Exotic Amplifier Technologies15 Dec 2005 09:27 GMT54
What kinds of ideas have been used in the past to make so called "hi quality"
sounding amplifiers in stereo systems?
I'm thinking of things like the Carver amplifiers of the 80s. Are there any
odd ideas that people have tried in the past?
