| Strange resistor nomenclature | 18 Nov 2005 00:21 GMT | 12 |
I've seen in a few schematics lately a resistor nomenclature that is new to me, such as "6K8" or "4K7". In such a designation, what do the "8" and "7" refer to? If it weren't for the added eight and seven, I would assume six kilo-ohms and four kilo-ohms, but the added designators ...

I asked how can I turn on a 12V relay from a ttl signal before and I got the circuit below as a response. I tested it and it works fine but unfortunately I tested it by supplying 12V into the 2.2k resistor. Now when I've connected it to my little cpu it doesn't work. When I ...

| The textbook scam | 17 Nov 2005 05:12 GMT | 11 |
Spending large sums of money for textbooks for EE is a scam because classical EE is an old discipline and it could be taught perfectly using mostly booke now out of copyright from old age or from government free use texts like Navy rate training manuals.
