I've always wondered why laptop AC adaptors are so bulky. I mean laptops are meant to be mobile and compact and light right? Anyhow, I came across this article where this guy made a hack to a tiny AC adaptor an successfully used it for his 16V laptop.

Hi, the timer on my heating hast stopped running, its a mechanical driven by a small motor conected to 230Vac, the problem is a capacitor (the only other component) that is in series with the motor. I shorted the cap with a multimeter and the motor started running again.

Hi, all This is my own laser fax machine. I got it s/h and no user manual. Now it complains about "invalid gauge". According to display, one should change gauge when changing the toner. What is that gauge? I can not find one!
