Current Accelerator30 Jun 2005 16:59 GMT6
Supposed you have a certain voltage and resistor values..
for example.. 110 volts and 55 ohms. The current would
then be 2 Ampere. Is there a way to boost the amperage
value to say 5 ampere without changing the voltage nor the

Hi Emma,
You've been asking a lot of slightly strange questions recently and I'm
beginning to get a little suspicious that you might be a troll. I'm very
sorry if that's not the case - I really wouldn't want to put you off if you
Still looking for joystick29 Jun 2005 17:17 GMT2
--Have been all over the place, but can't seem to lay my hands on
an old centering joystick, analog variety with pots on it. In
desperation I went to a swap meet last weekend, but no luck. I've found
new ones for $200, but hey, these used to go for $5.- at C&H! Any leads

I'm trying to demonstrate the effects of Wireless Power Transmission
(WPT), but, I must be doing something wrong (or expecting the wrong
results). I'm using an NTE586, as a Schotkky Diode, I attach an LED across
the leads, and then hold it behind a 600 watt microwave. I don't see ...

AC Sine to Square Wave Converter29 Jun 2005 08:50 GMT4
I'm doing an experiment on the effect of load. Does anyone
know what component to put or use so I can convert the
Sine wave from the AC outlet to square wave with no changes
in frequency? Something that can smear the rising amplitidue to
portable VHF receiver problem29 Jun 2005 02:53 GMT1
I'm in the UK and have a Shure EC11 bodypack transmitter with lavalier mike
on 174.8MHz. (I've also got an ECI transmitter on 173.8) I want to use this
pack with a camcorder so I need a portable receiver for the camera end.
Shure used to do a VP3 portable receiver for just this ...
AC vs Inverter Sine wave28 Jun 2005 23:55 GMT4
In an Alternating Current system, the electrons oscillates back
and forth. In Power Inverters (where you convert DC to 110
volts AC), the output is just a sine wave.. meaning the
electrons don't really oscillate back and forth but only vary

OPAMP with input of 0-5V output of +/-5v28 Jun 2005 20:01 GMT5
This is my first post to alt.electronics. I have no formal electronics
training but have completed quite a few DIY projects ( Digital and Analogue)
from the net and elsewhere.
At the moment I am working on a Printerport (lpt) dac using the Quad 8bit
ac volt meter- read dc voltage?28 Jun 2005 19:43 GMT3
i have an ac volt meter (0-12v). i wish to use it to monitor pc psu
voltage across an led. I have tried it for 30s and it works, showing a

volt reading recommmended ?.....
hd4780 LCD problem28 Jun 2005 19:18 GMT9
This is my first LCD and I am not having much luck.  I have checked over
my wiring many many times and cannot seem to find the problem.  It is a
4x20 hd4780 LCD.  When I turn it on the backlight comes on and I receive
the test signal, but some lines are missing.  The top 4 ...
electron drift velocity28 Jun 2005 15:26 GMT1
Whether you have 100 Ampere or 0.5 Ampere, The drift
velocity of the electrons in a given wire is the same right?
So how does the electrons behave in high amperage vs.
low amperage.
