MOSFETs .. Type/Part #?06 Dec 2004 19:10 GMT2
http://computerchristmas.com/index.phtml?link=how_to&HowToId=25&LowLimit=0
This system describes using either an SSR or MOSFET to drive a light circuit
.. What kind of MOSFET would I use? Would it be cheaper than building an
SSR?
Looking for very thin (1mm) coax wire06 Dec 2004 18:33 GMT5
I am looking for some coax cable with outer diameter about 1.2mm (or
0.05"). It very thin and flexible. I looked at all the obvious places
(Radio Shack, Newark, Mouser, Digikey) but could not find this. I know they
exist because I have some. They don't have to be super high ...
Wire Wound resistor failure?06 Dec 2004 18:30 GMT3
I've got an aquarium air pump on the pond to keep a hole open in the ice.
This prevents the potential build up of toxic gasses that might kill the
fish. However, aquarium pumps don't like the cold, it stiffens the
diaphragm. If it gets cold enough (likely), the diaphragm will crack.

S-VHS splitter cable - Where to buy?06 Dec 2004 10:29 GMT2
I require an s-vhs splitter cable or adapter.
I need to run an s-vhs signal to two devices.  I can't seem to find these in

Can anyone help me with where I could obtain these?
Sensorless Brushless Startup Procedure05 Dec 2004 20:31 GMT2
if you have a look to a modern brushless controller for radio
controlled flying models you can see
- that the motor has a very short startup time until the right moving
(about 100-200ms)
bios upgrades05 Dec 2004 03:39 GMT8
Seems you can't download a bios upgrade anymore unless you pay more
than an old board is worth or am I missing something?

Where to buy replacement halogen light bulb for small fiber optic Christmas tree04 Dec 2004 21:28 GMT5
We have a small decorative plastic Christmas tree with fiber optic
lights.  It uses a halogen light bulb, which fits in a 2-prong socket
called "MR11" and is 12V 10W.  The light no longer works and we want
to replace it.  Where can we find a 12V 10W MR11 halogen light bulb?
RJ1104 Dec 2004 18:54 GMT6
Just a simple question.
I know RJ11 has 4 pins. For 6 pins version, is it still called RJ11? I
know 8 pins version is called RJ45.
Thanks!

Again: Zener Diode ID04 Dec 2004 13:55 GMT2
I have to replace a zener diode (D7) in a Kenwood KA-1500 PA.
With the help of a magnifying glass I found the number:
1875R ("75R" is about half the size of "18")
Does anyone of you know the zener voltage of this diode?
Taking a audio signal and driving a DC Motor04 Dec 2004 06:51 GMT13
I am trying to build something for my deaf brother.  I want to hookup an
amplified audio signal to a small 1.5v - 6v DC motor.  It needs to be
able to speed up when the sound is louder, slow down when there is less
sound and stop if no sound.  It needs some type of regulator or
