What's the easiest way to get analog voltages from a computer? The current shouldn't be a problem as the signal could be amplified. Can you just connect the data and ground pin from a serial port and send all 0s for 0V, 1010101010 for 1/2 voltage and all 1s for full

I have this unit in for repair. The play back picture is always pixelating (its not the LASER already tried it). Mainly in the top part of the pix. The blocks in the upper part of the pix are actually from the bottom of the pix. Why?
