If anyone could supply me with pinouts and/or general information, I would
be massively grateful. If not, does anyone have advice on the best way to
Analog output from a computers RS232 serial port04 Sep 2004 17:25 GMT6
What's the easiest way to get analog voltages from a computer? The
current shouldn't be a problem as the signal could be amplified.
Can you just connect the data and ground pin from a serial port and
send all 0s for 0V, 1010101010 for 1/2 voltage and all 1s for full

aus.electronics group policy03 Sep 2004 22:57 GMT10
Does there exist and if so where, a document with the guidelines for
aus.electronics?  The reason I ask is that I might have a few ebay auctions
coming up of interest but I have no desire to spam the list.
Cheers

servos vs steppers: resolution03 Sep 2004 06:37 GMT10
All steppers that I've seen are spec'ed for a certain resolution, ie.
1.8 deg or 3.6 deg, etc. I want to control a sonar "head" with a high
degree of accuracy. I already have two Hitec HS-311 servos, and was
plannign on using these, but the stepper's ability to rotate 360 degrees ...

components are?  Thanks.
