I have an indiana cash drawer that can be hooked to a printer.  Its a
24 volt drawer.  I want to use the serial port to trigger it.  one of

I'm trying to locate some of these ICs, heck, even a pair would do as a
starter. They are GPIB/IEEE-488 driver and receiver ic's, commonly found (
i believe ) in old HP equipment and ( i guess ) many other peripherals that
connect to the real world by this interface.

I was looking around on eBay for a cheap used EPROM eraser to replace mine
(timer won't shut off, uses old screw in bulb about 4" long by 1" diameter
