Is the copper used in steel wired armoured
cables normal copper or hard drawn?
Looking for a signal conditioner03 Sep 2005 21:32 GMT6
I've got a level transducer that I want to use on a project. The transducer
has a 4/20 mA output equivalent to 0 to 5 metres. Unfortunately the range of
the transducer is too large for what I need. I only need about 4 to 9.8 mA =
0 to 1.8 metres. The receiving instrument is 4/20 ...
Level sensor query03 Sep 2005 21:05 GMT21
We have an application to measure the level of diesel (DERV) in a bunded
storage tank. The height of the tank is 1.83 metres. When the level of the
tank reaches 1.83 metres, the tank volume is 79000 litres.
Measurement of level will be by a submersible pressure transducer. As ...
Using a 110 V breaker in a 220 V system03 Sep 2005 12:15 GMT2
I know this is a really stupid question.
The reason I'm asking is I made a little bet with my brother and I'm
not sure I have to pay up.
The bet was in which system would a normal 110V 10Amp breaker blow
Generators and computers03 Sep 2005 04:53 GMT7
I want to buy a standard, basic generator around 2-2.5KW to power a
computer and laser printer (used in the open for my work).
I don't want to pay for an inverter model unless I need to. At the
moment, I run the computer via a UPS unit that gives me 10mins battery

6-15R/6-30R compatibility02 Sep 2005 17:18 GMT4
I have a quick question that I hope I can get a simple answer to ...
I've been put in charge of purchasing a new air conditioner for my
workplace, and before I buy one I want to make sure the new plug is
compatible with our existing outlet.  The air conditioner we have now

I am at a loss for who to turn to, so I was hoping that somewhere here
could point me in the right direction.  I am looking for a source for a
24" (or 23" or 22") fan blade, rated for 3450 rpm, on a 1 1/2 hp motor.
It will need to move a lot of air, but the exact amount is not
"reactive power"01 Sep 2005 23:54 GMT10
A question please.
Suppose we have 120 volts across a motor
Current = 5 amps at phase = 33.6 degrees lagging
Apparent power S = EI = 600 watts
Assumption in engineering - brainstorm01 Sep 2005 19:24 GMT4
Did we aware that a lot of assumption have been made in engineering to
solve (theorem, formulas and factor)certain problem exist. Why it is
happen?. Could we said that our scientists or pioneers can not find
proper methods or leaks somewhere thus  everybody come out with their

As always, any response will be appreciated.
