I have a small fan that is used to exhaust air from a work station. It runs on 12v DC 4.5 amps. I was told that there are four ways to effectively power this fan on household current, and do so safely.

I have been requested by a client to provied a wye-wye pad-mounted transformer that is grounded on both the primary and the secondary. The voltages are 12470Y/7200 VAC to 208Y/120 VAC. I remember there being some reason why this is not typically used for distribution

I can't seem to get the correct gain when I use a bypass cap on the emitter. wouldn't my formulas be the following: 1. calculate the impedance of Ce which would give me Xc. 2. calculate the parallel resistance of Re and Xc.
