Bidirectional LVDS30 Jun 2007 18:58 GMT14
I need to extend a memory-mapped bus into another enclosure and
thought that a bidirectional LVDS implementation with serial/
deserializer pairs at each end might work.  Does anyone have any
experience or guidance on such a setup?

Standalone Solar power LED, and I'm learning to hate Google30 Jun 2007 14:02 GMT1
I figured hundreds if not thousands of DIYers like me at one time or
another built a Solar Powered LED "Thingy" and posted what they did
and how they did it.  So I Googled, and what do I find,  A million
sites that want to SELL me solar powered stuff, or TreeHuggers telling
PIC16C765 detect USB cable detached30 Jun 2007 06:35 GMT1
Is there a way for the software inside the PIC to detect when the USB
cable has been detached from a PIC16C765?
We haven't been able to find a register bit that indicates when the
cable is not attached.
Totally newbie question30 Jun 2007 04:06 GMT10
Greetings duders, I've just recently taken up the study of electronics
as a hobby and I have some very newbie questions. Since my only source
of input is some random books, I need someone to go to with these
queries. What better place than an electronics newsgroup, right?
Cheap solution for environmental chamber30 Jun 2007 04:04 GMT18
I need to test a product at hot and cold temperatures. Can anyone
suggest a cheap alternative to an environmental chamber?
A small freezer would probably be fine for the cold, but what is a good
solution for hot (50C)? I think a toaster oven would be too hot.

500 Vcc comp. pair29 Jun 2007 21:07 GMT3
I normally use MJE 340/350 for HV power amps but they are only good to
300V. This time I am running 450-500V rails.
What is the next logical step up in voltage using the most commonly
available part, and preferrably not TO-3?

Who Has Used Resistors as Fuses29 Jun 2007 13:26 GMT54
Sometimes I burn too many regular fuses with prototypes.
Could I use a resistor as a temporary fuse substitute?
It's ok if the fuse bursts into flames..
Affer debugging, I'll used a proper fuse.
