VCO in PSpice (Beginner)30 Nov 2006 23:44 GMT2
Hello Boy$ and Girlz
I am trying to use PSpice, just trying because I am new in designing
analog circuits. Now I want to implement the VCO cuircuit like it is
shown at http://www.adicss.de/ -----> Helix.
what's inside these direct satellite LNB's?30 Nov 2006 20:47 GMT6
Can anyone tell me what's inside of these unbiqutitous LNB things that
I see on all the direct TV/DSS dishes?  Is there a nice GaaS FET in
there?
I have several of these things from my  ill fated TV viewing experience
SPICE and LTSPICE noise confusion30 Nov 2006 20:27 GMT1
I did a noise analysis with SPICE3 the other day and got confusing
results. Actually I wanted to twiddle around with the JFET pair we've
been discussing and let SPICE do the math for me. SPICE and I have
never been a good team because of mutual misunderstanding, of which
Cheap 2:1 MUX30 Nov 2006 19:52 GMT3
It's the first time I write on this NG. I have a question for you :)
What is the simplest (and cheapest) method to select one between two TTL
signals?
With logic gates I need two ANDs, one NOT and one OR (ok, I can use only
PC based instruments30 Nov 2006 18:30 GMT8
Seems we are in a great time for electronics hobbyists wrt to
instruments.
What PC instruments do you use and are you happy with them? I refer
specifically to lower cost USB type things, and not old-school big
Who holds the truth. Science or God's Word?30 Nov 2006 17:48 GMT74
It is so unfortunate that God's best creation - man - made in His very
own likeness, do not ehibit His very nature. Every moment of his life,
he keeps deviating from the truth - God's Truth.

I was just wondering about the emiiter L's on the LM394s

Modulate HF onto LF?30 Nov 2006 15:43 GMT4
I found an obscure reference which reads as follows. There is no
further information given.
"One person with whom I discussed this said you can use a lower
frequency carrier than the modulation. You can view the resulting
Surpizing results from Piezoelectric coin speaker.30 Nov 2006 11:52 GMT12
Have you ever made a wine glass or crystal sing by wetting your finger?
Would you believe that when you hit the resonant frequency of a tuning
fork, wine glass, or even a plain old drinking glass that is made of
glass, a very small signal, not even audiable, at the resonant
ugly math30 Nov 2006 11:21 GMT42
OK, I've got a 64-bit unsigned binary number, in a pair of 32-bit
registers, in an MC68332 cpu. Its maximum value is 1e13, which is 10
seconds measured in picoseconds, so the MS longword can only get up to
about 2328 or something like that. I'm looking for an efficient way to
high voltage discharge emi problem..30 Nov 2006 10:55 GMT1
I'm designing a medical device which generates shockwaves. I'm facing
serious EMI problems. The device generates the shockwaves by
discharging a high voltage capacitor through a Spark Gap, a triggering
transformer is used. The triggering transformer is triggered using a

I am studying the T.V systems for different regions for the DVD
Recorders I am working on. The regions are Asia Pacific, LATAM, NAFTA
and Europe.
I found a document explaining about the systems at
Altera's Stratix II GX Transceivers running > 4Gbps30 Nov 2006 07:37 GMT1
Hello, I'm looking to do a design involving data rates near 4Gbps and
was looking at using Altera's Stratix II GX transceivers to drive the
data to a 4Gbps single-mode fiber-optic transceiver. I'm interested in
how well the Stratix can perform this task, if anyone has some
what pins do I use to connect a board to a DIP socket?30 Nov 2006 06:28 GMT4
I'm building a small board with a CPLD installed.  I'd like to plug
this board into a standard 40-pin DIP socket.  SIP pin strips have
0.025" pins which are too big to fit into a DIP socket.  Mill-Max makes
machined pin strips, but they're rather pricey.  Something like the
HV capacitors which emit x-rays?!!!30 Nov 2006 05:54 GMT27
I stumbled across an odd idea.
If a home-built stacked-plate capacitor is operated with high-volt
pulses, the thin air film trapped between the foils and the dielectric
sheets should glow violet.  (I verified this idea using a quickie test
