| logic level mosfet resistance | 31 Jul 2006 23:48 GMT | 14 |
For a logic level mosfet with RDSon specified at 0.09 ohms at about 10a, with VGS at 5V, will it act as a .09 ohm resistor even for low currents, like 10 to 100mA, giving a drop of 1 to 10 mV, or is there a voltage burden? The data sheets that have graphs don't show this area

| schematic capture software | 31 Jul 2006 19:46 GMT | 7 |
I've been trying out some of the various free schematic capture tools (gschem, Weblab and various others), but none of them are really what I'm after. Specifically, I'm looking for a reasonable spice GUI, suitable for nanometer IC design with a good waveform viewer. I've used

I saw some pictures of those "tin whiskers", and I didn't know the problem was so great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_whiskers So... is Airbus required to go for lead-free solder too, for RoHS and

| Instek power supplies PSM, PSS series? | 31 Jul 2006 15:45 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking at PSS-2005, and PSM-3004 or PSM-6003. http://www.instek.com/PSS.htm http://www.instek.com/PSM-SERIES.htm Obviously, the PSM is much more power, a nicer panel, and also heavy!

They don't seem to have a website. Going to www.cpclare.com gets you a generic site and Wayback blocks robots. Did they merge or fold? Need info on their product MRB 6A05

| lossless reverse portection | 31 Jul 2006 02:44 GMT | 15 |
I have an ICSP programmer supplied by the target circuit and I use a PNP (2N2907) transistor as a reverse polarity protection. I put the emitter to the target +5V, the base to ground through a 1K resistor, and the collector feeds the programmer. I have roughly 0.02V drop out in ...

| ADC's and DAC's for audio | 31 Jul 2006 02:44 GMT | 64 |
How come its so hard to find ADC's with more than 16-20 bits of resolution with high conversion rate?(200kSPS+) Ultimately I would like an ADC and DAC with ~32-bits at 360kSps for use in an audio project... although I could deal with the minimum of 24bit at

I'm tinkering around with an idea that would require controlling some hardware over a WLAN. I've got lots of electronics experience, but ZERO wireless experience. Are their single chip (i.e. CHEAP) solutions on the market that can plug into a design that handle the wireless junk

| LR8 high volltage linear regulators | 31 Jul 2006 00:57 GMT | 3 |
Is there any reason that Supertex LR8 regulators cannot be used with external pass elements in a similar way as their low voltage (LM317) cousins in order to increase the available current ?. Looking for an adjustable (50..350volt /150ma) regulator to run from a 400v raw
