way to simplify repeated xor operations?01 Jun 2006 00:45 GMT10
I am trying to implement a 24 bit random bit shift register in a small
microcontroller. The output will be used as white noise and fed into an
IIR pink noise filter also implemented on the MCU (see other posts, yes
its possible). I need an 8 bit random number, so I am shifting the
Low voltage step up design?31 May 2006 23:04 GMT6
I have a D cell boostcap... 350 farads, 2.7V. Takes several minutes to
charge up on a 3A 2.5V bench supply. The volts tics up a 1/10v every
second or so. I want to make a dc-dc conv that will chop the cap
voltage and step it up to about 14v. I'd like it to work from 2.5v down

VCO tug of war (A tale of two VCOs)31 May 2006 17:35 GMT22
I have two 2.1ghz VCOs (smv2100l) wich need to be 455khz apart over a 200mhz
range.
I made a pcb to test how they worked with manual tuning and a diode type
mixer to observe the beat frequency,
Trouble With my PIC Programmer31 May 2006 16:47 GMT12
I just purchased a baseline flash microcontroller programmer for
programming 10f series pics. Unfortunately I'm having a difficult time
getting it to work.
The software recognizes the programmer fine and everything seems to
4 to 10 Decoder / 10 to 4 Encoder ---- Problems31 May 2006 16:19 GMT17
I am wanting to take a signal and put it into a 4 to 10 decoder.  The
outputs of the decoder are going to be connected to a 10conductor cable
which will connect to the inputs of a 10 to 4 encoder.
I am then wanting to check the output of that encoder with the inputs
Generac 5244 DOA31 May 2006 13:28 GMT5
I have just installed a Generac 5244 generator.  I bought it from a
dealer that does not service in my area (I know, I know....).
I hooked it up (and made absolutely sure everything was done according
to the specs...)
wide range dual freq synth .. with simple cascaded frequency doublers31 May 2006 11:45 GMT2
Hi, Im looking at generating RF and LO signals 450khz apart at various
frequencies from 100mhz -> ~2ghz, wich proved too tricky doing it with vcos
at the top end, even at 100mhz it seems I need oudles of
seperation/screening/isolation and decoupling etc so Im thinking of using a
Power Supply31 May 2006 05:22 GMT3
I am designing a tube amplifier, and I need to make/buy a transofmer that
provide about 350-400v. Where would I find such transformer, or the magnetic
core at least?
Thank you for your time.
New program. Dipole+Line+Balun+Tuner31 May 2006 05:21 GMT2
New Program : LINELEN.exe
This program calculates dipole feedpoint impedance, transmission line
input impedance, and balun input impedance, versus frequency.
Dipole and line can be of any length.  Line Zo can be of any
zapping gates31 May 2006 03:51 GMT84
We just tested the gate blowout voltage of a couple of 500-volt,
300-watt power fets:
IXYS  IXTH11P50    p-channel     80 volts
IR    IRFPS37N50A  n-channel    115 volts
IBM/Toshiba/Sony Cell CPU30 May 2006 21:13 GMT2
Is it possible to buy this cpu ..?

hi i m a student of electrical engineering 2nd year.i want to design a
mini project in verilog HDL .CAN ANY ONE HELP ME.
Newbie transistor question30 May 2006 19:58 GMT9
I'm having trouble getting a transistor to work the way I thought it
should, and I hope someone could help me.
I'm using a PIC to drive common anode 14-segment LEDs. Since the PIC
I/O line can't supply enough current, I'm trying to use a 2N2222
