Test Philosophy01 Nov 2005 00:45 GMT8
Hey...
I'm curious what is considered good practice when designing and planning for
the test cycle of low volume products.
In particular, I am curious what most designers consider neccesary.
Occasional Static Inteference in TV Reception01 Nov 2005 00:31 GMT4
Recently my Main TV began having problems with static interfernce.
Previously the ones on inside antennas occasionally had it.  Now on
occasion the roof top antenna channels and the analog satellite channel
have it.  The Digital satellite channels do not have it.  Anyone have
safe voltage for supercapacitors31 Oct 2005 23:29 GMT1
Everyone,
I'm interested in using some kind of "supercapacitor" (e.g. double
layer capacitor) as a power backup on a 5V supply which may sometimes
be intermittent (can go down for short times upto 500ms). Many of these
Load exceeding supply current31 Oct 2005 19:56 GMT11
The task: power a highly dynamic load (takes 32A for 1ms, then 8A for
6ms, then 0 for 1ms, then starts all over) at 12V and 24V. Voltage can
vary 1V.
A suggested solution: for 24V, put in series two 12V/12.5A power
Using a microcontroller as an audio mixer?31 Oct 2005 19:53 GMT7
These questions are for my education rather than for an existing device.
I have a microcontroller containing an analog amplifier whose input can be
switched between pins of the micro. Suppose I have 8 audio inputs. The
amplifier has a gain of 1 and a 5 MHz GBW product. Suppose ...
Basic question about a "breadboard"31 Oct 2005 19:46 GMT16
I bought some DIP breadboard. In my naivete, I thought that there were
power rails on the perimeter, and then every hole in the middle is
electrically isolated, so that I can connect whetever I want to
whatever I want.
measure analog output (0- 135 ohm ) of a thermostat using mcu.31 Oct 2005 16:04 GMT4
iwant to measure a resistance signal(o-135 ohm)  from a thermosta
using mcu.For that i have to convert this signal to 0-5v voltage signal.i
there any way to do that? can  i use current sourse or any resitanc
network?
low-cost sensitive silicon photodiodes.31 Oct 2005 15:48 GMT20
What's a good source for high-quality large-area (0.5" dia, 1cm^2,
etc.) silicon photodiodes, meant for use at very low light levels?
One other spec, it must be inexpensive, say no more than $5 each.
The UDT parts I've been using work well, but cost about $50 each.
electrodes used in water31 Oct 2005 11:44 GMT12
I am designing a micro controller based Water level controller.
but the electrodes wht I am inserting inside the water to detect the
water level will under go into chemical reaction. Thus after a few days
the metal wht I have dipped inside the water will be vanished living
Load Dump/Transient Protection.31 Oct 2005 11:17 GMT24
I am just looking for some idea's on 24V automotive systems.  I have a
regulator that I would like to use (LM3488) which has a max input of 40V.
To protect against load dump and transients I was thinking of a PolyFuse/TVS
arrangement on the input but if the system is to work on ...
HELP PLESE!!!31 Oct 2005 10:38 GMT9
E1 - I1R1 - I1R2 - E2 + I2R2 = 0
E2 - I2R2 - I2R3 - I2R4 + I1R2 = 0
AAA Battery Eliminator31 Oct 2005 06:43 GMT6
I have an MP3 player that takes one (1) AAA Battery.  I was wondering
if there was anything out there that could replace this with an AC
adapter of some sort?  Or if I could somehow make one.  I have seen
several things about 2 AAA batteries, but not just one.  Would I just
120VAC to +V/-V devices?31 Oct 2005 06:33 GMT36
Hello, are there any simple IC's that switches household AC to dual
voltages commonly used for op-amps and power amps?

Hello.  This is my first post to any type of group.  Thanks for sharing
your knowledge.  I know very little about electronics so I need your
help with a money saving project.  I have a 12 volt cordless drill that
has no battery.  Since a new battery sells for over $30, I had the ...
DTMF to telephone line interfafce31 Oct 2005 01:48 GMT16
Could anyone show me an example circuit which demostrates how to
interface the DTMF signal from MT8880 or CM8880 to the telephone lines?
I have found in the internet but cannot find a match.
Thanks!
