Some PIC projects ...01 Apr 2005 00:21 GMT1
FYI, I've put 2 of my PIC projects (chronograph and rechargeable
lantern) on a webpage at:

Hopefully, I can add more projects later. Note that there is only
John Larkin's fast 50V pulse with a 2n7000.01 Apr 2005 00:12 GMT8

See John's fast rise/fall-time 50V pulse with a 2n7000, on a.b.s.e.
That's pretty good, 1.9ns rise and 2.5ns fall, how'd you do that?
Hmm, how short can you make it (without using a PFN)?
Problem with Spice - it won't allow me to change bounds of graph31 Mar 2005 22:26 GMT15
Hi - I'm trying to simulate a circuit with spice (which I'm very new to). I
first set a DC sweep on the input (V3):

Transmitter output31 Mar 2005 16:26 GMT4
I have a small question. I want to make a simple tone
(10MHz)transmitter cct from a 1Vp-p 10MHz input signal. I can drive a
transistor(NPN) from this signal. But my question is, to get maximum RF
output, should I get the maximum voltage swing @ the collector? or
PROTEL 2.831 Mar 2005 15:06 GMT2
I use Protel 2.8 and it would like to print the drawings PCB in negative.
How to do that?

Flapping "For Sale" sign, need design help for31 Mar 2005 04:12 GMT11
I'll be selling my house soon and will have a small billboard-shaped
"For Sale" sign (about 4 feet wide) by the side of the road. I want to
'attract the eye' of passers by, and thought of the idea of putting
some flags on the top of the sign and having them rapidly flap back and
Searching for Kevin Brace (Graphic chip research information)31 Mar 2005 02:51 GMT1
Pardon my posting but I'm trying to get in touch with Kevin Brace. He use to
but not recently posted to these news groups. In his signature he asked that
if you wanted to get in touch with him, to not EMailo him but respond to the
news groups.

Pinball machine - switch closure timing problem30 Mar 2005 18:30 GMT55
I'm posting this to a few electronics newsgroups poking around for a
possible answer...
For years the pinball companies used a small .047 uf capacitor across
some switch terminals for switches that could be closed and reopened
MicroSym Pspice Old Student Version30 Mar 2005 15:54 GMT1
I'm still using the Pspice student version at home that I
got for free from MicroSym back in about 1995 or so...
I've noticed that it will no longer pick up the symbols and
will not run.  This started about a year or two ago......
linear position sensor30 Mar 2005 11:13 GMT8
i need an application note describing a schematic for a linear position
sensor, in "time of flight" mode. The range of sensing is from 1 mt  to
1 cm, and the resolution less than 1 cm
thanks
characteristic impedance30 Mar 2005 09:05 GMT7
characteristic impedance of a line is square root of L/C. It does not
depend on the length. But the losses occuring in resistance, no matter
how small, is dependent on the length. Any literature to read on how
the length affects the charactristic impedance.
PIC programming Current30 Mar 2005 07:28 GMT5
I am design a PIC programmer and i am using a strp up converter to
convert from 5V to the required PIC programming voltage of around
13.6V.
Does someone know the ammount of current the PIC takes during
a problem with 2sc1815 to use  as a video switch30 Mar 2005 06:59 GMT2
I want use the (2s1815)or( 2n2222) as a switch for a video signal
when I bias it with (~4.5v) it connect the signal I know that the input
& output must connect to an cap withabout 33uf & aresistor of 75 ohm
but when I try to do this the picture on the monitor become bad but
