| Bluetooth serial adapters. | 30 Nov 2007 13:45 GMT | 4 |
Slightly off-topic, but it's a question people here might know better than anyone on the planet. I'm after a Class 1, bluetooth v2 (must also do v1.2) adapter for serial ports (DB9). Needs SPP profile, no other profiles required, but they might

| "Jellybean" LDO | 30 Nov 2007 06:45 GMT | 5 |
What are people's favorite low-dropout linear regulators? ("Jellybean" in the sense of The Art of Electronics -- the ones you want to keep on hand in some quantity.)

| optical receiver for 850nm (PD + TIA + LIA + LVDS output) | 27 Nov 2007 18:23 GMT | 18 |
Hi fellow engineers, I am designing an FPGA board and I want to include an optoelectronic interface on the board. What I have in mind is a 1-channel optical receiver module (digital data output), packaged for integrating directly on-board

| SnAgCu lead-free solder | 27 Nov 2007 08:30 GMT | 3 |
Who sells SnAgCu solder, preferably small diameter with no-clean flux, in packages smaller than a 1-pound roll? Anyone? The lead-free stuff available in small quantities seems to be SnSb.

| Component suggestion... | 23 Nov 2007 11:57 GMT | 4 |
I'm trying to build a handheld gaming device using a PIC16F887 with an LCD screen. Although the PIC will run at lower voltages the LCD requires 5V.

| Need AD9501 replacement | 23 Nov 2007 07:24 GMT | 13 |
I have been using the Analog Devices AD9501 programmable delay chip in some gear, and was planning on designing a new board with them when I discovered they were obsolete, and becoming scarce. The chip is just about ideal for what we are doing, and I've found nothing that comes ...

| LV instrumentation amp with decent CM input range? | 22 Nov 2007 15:41 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking for an instrumentation amp to be run on a lithium battery (3V). I need low power consumption and a common-mode input range (CMIR) of as much of the "power supply" as I can get. All of the IAs I've looked at so far - TI, AD, LT, good grief I've even checked out Maxim's ...

| Low audio noise JFETs? | 21 Nov 2007 01:16 GMT | 76 |
What would be a really low noise FET? Should be well under 10nV/rtHz at the lower end of the audio band, say at 20Hz. Ideally 5nv/rtHz. Looked at former Matsushita parts, now Panasonic: 2SK3426: Supposedly good but no specs to wrote home about.

| Replacement for BCX42 PNP transitor? FMMT55??? | 20 Nov 2007 21:01 GMT | 2 |
I am looking for replacement for an BCX42 PNP transistor that got damaged in an LCD inverter. The FMMT555A in mouser.com seems to be an ideal candidate, but the datasheet has all the voltage in negative number(for example Vcbo

| Are video amps fizzling away? | 20 Nov 2007 16:21 GMT | 2 |
Most of us know the old uA733, it's still sold but the quantities aren't very encouraging. A whopping 34 pieces at Digikey. Big red flag for me. The NE592 is non-stock in all versions and there are a few thousand TL592. None of these were ported past SO style. That's another ...
