If Current = True Then Close This Circuit29 Nov 2006 05:30 GMT2
I am basically looking for a way to detect a small current that was
intended to turn on a piezoelectric buzzer and if it senses a current
there, to close a circuit on the same board.
You know...no matter how novel or noble my ideas are...they always
Ring generator for telecom29 Nov 2006 03:49 GMT5
Does anyone knows a component, simple and not expensive for generating
the ringing voltage for a telephone? Something that would, with a few
external components raise the voltage from around 5V or 12V to the
ringing voltage of a telephone?
Sourcing STV5730A UK stock?28 Nov 2006 18:12 GMT1
These seem a little more tricky to come across than I expected. If
anyone here has or knows where I could get some STV5730A (or similar)

Making simple useful electronic devices27 Nov 2006 17:51 GMT2
I am proposing that we put some of our electronics knowledge to some
practical uses.
For example; making simple fuel cut defenders, logic probes, boost
controllers etc.

Low drift, low noise, fast opamp26 Nov 2006 22:19 GMT50
Ok guys, normally I'd do this discrete and maybe I will again if there
ain't anything reasonable (<$5/1k) and available:
Photo diode receives analog signals modulated onto fiber. Modulation
frequency range up to 100MHz. The downside is that this time I must go
SMT LM317's current limit, can it be raised by heatsinking?26 Nov 2006 17:10 GMT4
I want 1.5A, but the TO-220 and TO-263 packs are too fat for the space I'm
working with. I could gang more than one part but I want to avoid that.
Two SMT parts have the right size for the narrow space they must fit into:

RCA SCR replacement or DC motor control26 Nov 2006 05:38 GMT4
I have a SCR from a speed control from a wire-fed welder that probably
is bad & needs replacing.  There doesn't seem to be a direct substitute
for it, so I am trying to find the specs for the part (80's vintage)
and find something that is close.  Markings are:
15.7 KHz RGBs to Component (YPbPr) schematic/IC?25 Nov 2006 17:59 GMT24
I am trying to find a schematic, or even a data sheet on an IC, that will
convert analog 15.7 KHz RGBs (Composite Sync) to component video.  I find a
lot of IC's that will convert to composite video or Y/C but not toYPbPr.
There are a lot of transcoder/encoder boxes to buy, but ...

Ceramic 2.4GHz antenna21 Nov 2006 23:13 GMT37
I'm in the market for a 2.4GHz ceramic antenna (I've decided on that for
a number of reasons).
A number of companies do these: do you guys have any experience or
preference with these parts / companies?
