| RC4739 equivalent | 30 Mar 2006 04:36 GMT | 3 |
Is there a current equivalent for the Raytheon RC4739? I found the NTE725 seemed to match, but can't find it anywhere. Also, the ua739 & TBA231 seemed to match, but again I can't find them. Any leads on where to find these or their equivalents?

| Dropping voltage vs. battery conservation (aka power) | 27 Mar 2006 18:23 GMT | 7 |
I'm modifying a 14.4v flashlight to use an array of LEDs. The voltage of the white LEDs is 4.0v, and total draw is 0.145mA (measured). This means dropping 10.4 volts, which means using a 72 ohm resistor (180 & 120 in parallel). This resistance evaporates 6-plus watts which is ...

| So where's the rest of the 74HC family? | 27 Mar 2006 17:05 GMT | 8 |
I need to replace a 3.6 MHz VCO which drives a uC. Looking at xtals, TCO's and OCXO's in DigiKey, you'd think that nobody ever used - or has use for - a 3.6 MHz clock. There's some high speed, crazy freq. stuff but no 3.6 MHz. OK, I'll bag accurate and stable and settle for a ...

| Any RRIO opamps for +/-15V supplies? | 26 Mar 2006 05:45 GMT | 3 |
This is probably a rare need these days -- but are there any rail-to-rail op-amps (both input and output) that can handle +/-15V supplies? My search through Linear Technology, Analog Devices, ... hasn't turned up anything. Failing that, are there any that have R-R outputs, again ...

| PTH08080WAH | 24 Mar 2006 21:41 GMT | 1 |
What's the story with this chip? It's backordered everywhere, even at ti, and you have to buy 90 of them. Avnet would sell them individually if only they would get them in stock, but no such luck.

| question | 24 Mar 2006 16:35 GMT | 2 |
There used to be a company or perhaps "companies" who would advertise for pc boards out of junked equipment. I don't recall if it was for any "gold" content or maybe some components value. I have a couple boxes of PC boards sitting here that I use to scrap parts from when I'm ...

| advice or parts source | 24 Mar 2006 09:38 GMT | 7 |
I recently picked up a Sansui T-80 tuner (circa 1981)... it's got some flaky performance, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. I'm going to replace all of the ancient electrolytic caps but there is one I cannot source: 0.15uF 100V polar electrolytic

| where can I get those low voltage power plugs and recepticals? | 24 Mar 2006 07:13 GMT | 3 |
I am trying to build my own wall-wart pwer supply, and was wondering what those small d.c. power plugs on the ends of the power supply were called? I'm sure if I knew the correct name I could find dozens of them on digi-key, but as it is I search for "power connector" and I get ...

| Standard off-the-shelf triplexed LCD 4-1/2 digit glass w/pins? | 22 Mar 2006 13:39 GMT | 4 |
Anybody have a good source for a standard off-the-shelf TRIPLEXED LCD numeric display, something around 0.3-0.56" tall characters (8-13mm) with 4-1/2 digits, maybe some annunciators? It needs to have DIP pins, not the zebra elastomer type connections or heat seal strip.
