Baffled by Honeywell proximity sensor31 Dec 2004 17:52 GMT6
I've been given a sample Honeywell capacitative proximity sensor by a
client. He wants me to build a small micro-based project to interface
with it. The sensor is shipped in a bag labeled "992AA12AN-A2", and the
documentation for "992 series" sensors consists of four letter-sized
LED with current limit resistor31 Dec 2004 02:03 GMT2
Any one point me to a T1 or T1-3/4 LED (green and yellow) which has the
internal current limit resistor built in to the package?

Anti-static sponge?30 Dec 2004 03:49 GMT7
I hope that I direct this question to the proper group.
I am looking for packing material that would allow me to safely
ship a microprocessor-- I do not have the original packaging. I
have seen ICs placed in a black/grey sponge-like material that
creating a square-wave out of a transition30 Dec 2004 00:30 GMT15
I'm working on a project that will receive an MFM encoded signal from an
external amiga floppy drive and convert the Transitions and No-transitions
to 1's and 0's(or 0's and 1's, it doesn't matter, I can invert at will in
software).  The signal is normally high, 5v.  No-transition ...

9V Batteries from the Early Days of Transistor Radios27 Dec 2004 21:49 GMT2
All the time in these NGs I've read PP-3 for the description of 9V
transistor radio batteries.  However, when I was a kid, we knew them by
the description shown in the pic in the URLs below.  Usually BL-006P or
MN-006P for the Heathkits which used manganese or alkaline, I believe.
