I Need A Dual Coil Battery Contact.31 Oct 2004 17:44 GMT2
I have a device that uses 6 AA Batteries at one time. One of the dual coil
battery contacts is missing. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?
I've tried Radio Shack and a hardware store and they didn't have one. Thank
you.
FREE MC4024's31 Oct 2004 16:37 GMT16
I just found a Metric Buttload of MC4024's (1978/1979 date codes).  Mostly
MC4024P plastic DIP packages, a few MC4024L ceramic DIP packages.  Found
the datasheet on Jim Thompson's website, stuck
one on a breadboard, hooked up a scope, and watched it do its stuff as

Do they make duel color LEDs that are blue and white? Actually do they make
them in any other color besides red and green? Thanks in advance
I Need A Battery Spring/Plate For A Device.31 Oct 2004 03:32 GMT1
I have a portable electronic navigation system - a Pilot III from Garmin- which
I use to find my way around the counties in the state where I work. It operates
via batteries or by pluging it into the cigarette lighter.
While using the navigation system, the batteries exploded. As I ...

They need to replace a tms27c010a eprom. I have a battery DIP socket that is
High power Zener diode ?27 Oct 2004 12:17 GMT3
Looking for a Zener diode of 13W for replacement of a faulty component
in a legacy system. Could anyone points to me where I can get one ?
Alternatively, can I use some small power Zener diode, together with a
transistor, to functionally replace the high power Zener diode ? It
Fuse question26 Oct 2004 18:46 GMT1
I have MQ3 fuse. The datasheet says that it has maximum
power dissipation of 0.48 Watts, ampere rating of 3 amps and
maximum voltage drop of  0.2 volts. My question is that if it
dissipates 0.48 watts when the current is almost 3 amps, then how
Question concerning solenoids26 Oct 2004 00:47 GMT14
I am working on a design which will require a solenoid capable
of appx. a one inch throw (is that the correct term?) exerting a force
of appx. one pound with a response time of appx. 0.2 milliseconds.  It
will have to fit into a footprint of appx. 1.5 in. sq.  Overall length
Inductor replacements25 Oct 2004 14:37 GMT3
I'm trying to find inductor replacements for a vintage power supply. Would
be grateful if you could point me to a supplier for replacements. These
are the main power inductors in a H740 PSU in a PDP-8/M.

Using LEDs in conjunction w/ music?25 Oct 2004 14:09 GMT3
This is more of a general question but, is it at all possible to wire,
let's say, an iPod to a series of LEDs that you'd pick up at RadioShack?
Something along the lines of having the LEDs emit in response to the
music, similar to how a stereo's LED indicator  will pulses in ...
Help needed identifying transistor25 Oct 2004 13:50 GMT1
I'm trying to repair a 24 Volt refridgerator commonly used in charter
busses. I've found one pair of identical transistors where one of them have
an C-E short. The transistors are located in the control-unit providing
power for the compressor-motor.
