electrical specs on SD5101 quad FET (14 pin DIP)?30 May 2004 03:01 GMT1
Does anyone have the electrical specifications for an SD5101 quad FET,
which is packaged in a 14-pin DIP?  Nine of these are used on the DEC
M8018 writable control store module for an LSI-11, to interface between
the MOS-level microinstruction bus and the TTL-level logic and memory ...
IC's for simple calculator applications?30 May 2004 02:33 GMT17
Are there any cheap IC's around, to do the simple calculator operations (add,
subtract, multiply, divide, square root)? Or is a microcontroller better to do
this?
thanks!

Trying to ID SM IC...28 May 2004 18:42 GMT2
Got a surface-mount IC that I can't spot anything for on Google. Need to
ID it so I can try to chase down the problem in the circuit it's in.
It's a 14 pin, surface-mount DIP. No obvious pin 1 mark (no notch, dot,
or circle), but I'm assuming that, as is conventional, lower left ...
Mic pre-amp with AGC?28 May 2004 16:05 GMT2
Does anyone know of an IC which has a mic pre-amp and an automatic gain
control circuit?  The best IC I've found is the SSM2165 from Analog Devices.
Do you know of any others I should be looking at?
Many thanks in advance,

Every image has the same problem:
substitute d/c  cap. for a/c?27 May 2004 20:39 GMT4
I blew out a 1 mfd 120v.a/c cap. in my OLD generator automatic switch and
can't find a replacement. I was wondering  what I can use for a substitute?
The original is a can about 7/8"D. X 1-1/2" long, wound tinfoil
inside(was):-) and a lead out each end. Would a 1 mfd. 400v.d/c work? ...
Q: how to characterize an I.F. "can"27 May 2004 00:32 GMT4
I have a one-board, transistorized AM receiver that is inop.  Two of its
three I.F. transformers were torn off and are lost.  I want to get
replacements for them.  Unfortunately the manufacturer of this receiver
is long out of business so replacement parts are not available.
ICS50125 May 2004 20:14 GMT1
I'm looking for a small handful of ICS501 (http://www.icst.com/) clock
multiplier chips to complete a couple of "Montreal Fox" boards
(http://www.qsl.net/ve2emm/pic-projects/mfox/mfx501-e.html) for a friend.
Before I try to fast-talk a distributor or the manufacturer out of some

calandar chip?  or rtc chip which does not allow setting of the date?25 May 2004 08:09 GMT4
Anybody know of a chip which permanently keeps track of month/day/year
without allowing a user to set it?
What I mean is something that is already preprogrammed, has its own

Custom aluminum chassis25 May 2004 02:09 GMT10
I've used a few local fabricators to do some aluminum chassis for me in the
past but was wondering if there are any really big names that do business
like some of the big PCB houses.
For example, I have alot of boards done at PCB express and it's great the
