Free schematic and pcb design programs30 Apr 2008 16:32 GMT10
Hello to all of You!
I am planning to sink my teeth into a "electronics CAD suite" in a not so
far away future. I have used ulticap and ultiboard back in the days they
still were DOS appz, I even bought a 80387 copro for them ;-). Not necessary
Survey: FPGA PCB layout28 Apr 2008 16:29 GMT98
Does anybody out there have a good methodology for determining your
optimal FPGA pinouts, for making PCB layouts nice, pretty, and clean?
The brute force method is fairly maddening. I'd be curious to hear if
anybody has any 'tricks of the trade' here.
Group's favourite SPICE software25 Apr 2008 20:12 GMT23
Hello group,
I'm looking for SPICE software recommendations, both freeware and for
purchase.  Whose programs do you use, and why?
Thanks,
PCB manufacture23 Apr 2008 18:37 GMT19
I had some PCBs made with 22 boards per panel (small boards).  I
wanted a single panel for prototypes, but it turned out I could get 6
panels for only $500 more.  This would get me through the first round
of production if I didn't need any changes.  The day the maker was
the order in which some switches are turned on23 Apr 2008 13:44 GMT1
I have an array of N switches . Initially all are OFF.
Somebody turns them ON in some order. It is possible that more
switches are turned ON in the same moment.
I need a device which shows me the order in which the switches were
LTspice Behavioral Expression Question11 Apr 2008 21:49 GMT3
Can LTspice handle TANH in a behavioral expression?
I'm sending a client a netlist and want to make sure it'll run on
LTspice.
Thanks!
New version of Eagle10 Apr 2008 19:44 GMT4
CADsoft has a beta version of Eagle 5.0 on their web site. I
downloaded it and it still has their weird user interface. I think
I'll stick with Pulsonix.

Drawing questions04 Apr 2008 16:31 GMT2
I see these frequently on PCB figures (REF BSC TYP). Could someone
kindly explain what these mean? REF = reference (to what)? I pretty
sure that BSC is basic spacing between centers?  TYP = ?
Also, in datasheet packaging sections, there is often a thin
LTSpice rounding error?02 Apr 2008 21:36 GMT1
Also posted to LTSpice Yahoo Group:
This oscillator is "inter-modulated" by SINE voltage V2, even though the
latter is not connected!  Is this due to rounding errors in the solver?  Is
there any way to reduce the effect?
