168 pin DIMM Standard Dimensions?29 Nov 2007 20:03 GMT1
I am attempting to design my own 168 pin DIMM (with some minor
modifications). Is there a standard mechanical drawling for how 168
pin DIMMs should be (a location for each notch and hole) if so, who
would own that specification so I can make a module that is compatible
Very Basic Question on Protel DXP 7.229 Nov 2007 01:55 GMT2
I have been using ORCAD, now forced to switch to an older version of Altium.
(Design Explorer 7.2.92)  circa 2002.
With ORCAD a Netlist is generated in Schematic Capture which is then used
by Layout to generate the PCB connections.
LT spice 'sprite'?26 Nov 2007 16:57 GMT5
scad3, Linear Technology spice requires a component to be 'sprited' before
it can be rotated on a schematic. What in the world is 'sprited' and how do
I 'sprite' a component so that I can rotate it?
Thanks, AL
Product of Cabin Fever25 Nov 2007 08:24 GMT3
Canceling all work for November while I recuperate from hip surgery
was a mistake.
Going nuts with cabin fever, I have indexed all the files added to the
SED/Schematics Page of my website over the past few years.
PSpice and series of capacitors24 Nov 2007 23:04 GMT18
PSpice get crazy to determine voltages when I have a series of capacitors:

After 'googled' a bit, I tried to fix the limitation of floating pin
(seems that PSpice can't determine DC voltage in such situations) by
How to create arched polygon fill in Protel 99SE?18 Nov 2007 19:01 GMT2
I posted this in another group but I'm not getting any useful answers. When
this happens it is an indication that I'm trying to do the impossible or it
is really basic and I'm overlooking something. Since the PCB I'm editing has
a polygon with curved corners I'm pretty sure it is ...

TSMC 90nm library spice deck10 Nov 2007 14:07 GMT4
I needed the spice netlists for the library cells in the TSMC 90nm
library. We had approached the cadence vendor for USF
but they said they only provide front end files, i.e., .lef
and .tlf(or

Some question on Orcad PCB editor (from an Orcad layout user)04 Nov 2007 23:20 GMT1
for first, if someone have used Orcad Layout too there is a significant
improvement in upgrading to PCB editor ?
On PCB Editor:

gEDA for Windows?03 Nov 2007 16:38 GMT13
Since quite a while I see a hint here or there that someone wants to
compile a Windows version containing some of the gEDA modules. But
somehow that seems to always fizzle.
Is there a realistic chance we'll ever see a somewhat "official" Windows
