Bomarc schematic catalogs updated. 5/28/0629 May 2006 09:48 GMT1
Howdy!
Catalogs have been finally updated, and cleaned up! Now dowloadable as
simple text files. Also some errant phone numbers (Thank the printer of
the document I had to work with!) have been fixed. Sorry for any

Any field solvers that can import PCB design data?26 May 2006 05:59 GMT4
Does anyone know of a (preferably) standalone 2.5D (or 3D) field solver that
can read in a Gerber data file, be provided with stack-up data (dielectric
constants, loss tangents, etc.), and then let you willy-nilly define ports to
look at S parameters (or similar)?  The primary ...

Has anyone produced a board using Kicad?24 May 2006 15:04 GMT32
I was wondering if anyone here has ever designed and produced a working PCB
with Kicad, the free open-source CAE package. I've looked around but haven't
found anything.
Linear Technology's FilterCAD22 May 2006 23:53 GMT8
Anyone had any success in using this program? Every time I enter any
parameters (even for the most basic bandpass Butterworth, for example)
the thing just seems to complain and won't come up with any valid
result. :-|
layout courses19 May 2006 15:06 GMT1
Can anyone recommend a really good course on PCB layout, preferably
generic rather than tool specific.
I've manually routed several high speed boards with ORCAD, some even
with mico-vias but I'd like to get into consultancy and a bit of paper
Klik & gEDA17 May 2006 12:11 GMT3
I have been hearing a lot about Klik for Linux and see that
most of the gEDA tools are in the repository.  Doesn't look
like the gEDA team maintains it though.  Will this change,
or is it not a problem?
PADS, jumper problem15 May 2006 22:13 GMT3
I route single sided board and I cannot use jumpers? When I'am trying
to put a jumper on  track a message appears "Can't add jumper". When
I'am trying to put a jumper while routing nothing is happend, my comand
(Ctrl + Alt + J) is quite ignored?? What is wrong??
PADS, routing problem13 May 2006 16:09 GMT3
I work a simple single sided board in PADS. I have my components placed
on board and all rules are set. Some of the tracks are routed ok. But a
little rectangle (rhomb in fact) appers at the corners of some routed
nets!!!

Easy-PC09 May 2006 10:13 GMT2
Somebody on this ng was kind enough to port me an old dos copy of EZPC
inside of two files named disk1.zip and disk2.zip.  I copied all the files
from disk1.zip to a floppy and similarly from disk2.zip.  I booted with an
old dos 6.22 disk and tried every trick I knew to install ...
