I've dumped Linux and moved to Windows XP.30 Jul 2004 01:29 GMT246
Sorry, but after years of using Linux and trumpeting it's advantages,
I have tried some Windows circuit board design software and quite
honestly there is really no comparison between the Windows software
and the somewhat crude, though functional, Linux software.
PowerPCB/PowerLogic file viewer?29 Jul 2004 22:43 GMT2
Can anyone tell me if there's an integrated PowerPCB/PowerLogic file
viewer available?
I've just joined a company that's using PADS and distributing design data
to those w/o access to the PADS suite via hardcopy or PDF.
2N5179 or eqv Spice model29 Jul 2004 15:45 GMT3
Does anybody have a source or could post s spice model for a 2N5179 V/UHF
transistor?

While we are on the subject of Multisim, I have a question.29 Jul 2004 01:14 GMT2
I have Multisim 2001 Power Pro edition. For some reason I am having
dificulty simulating the 555 timer on long delays. By long I mean in
the area of 20 seconds. I am designing an astable multivibrator with a
20  second off pulse (space) and a one second on pulse (mark). I know
1496 (Gilbert Cell Multiplier) Spice Model ??28 Jul 2004 05:47 GMT9
Anyone have a 1496 (Gilbert Cell Multiplier) Spice Model ??
I could roll my own but I'm unsure if the I/C models I have, of that
vintage, would be correct.
Thanks!
Power mosfet model for spectre27 Jul 2004 18:41 GMT2
I am designing a circuit in Cadence using spectre but I want to
simulate an extermal power mos which model is not included in the
foundry kit (obviously). The mosfet is the irf3315 and the only model
I have found is a very simple model to be used in pspice. This model
Really dumb Multisim question26 Jul 2004 18:18 GMT8
OK folks... This is probably a RYFM question, but...
I'm trying to use Multisim after about 4 years of not having done any
circuit simulation.
I can't get a 555 relaxation oscillator to work, and I can't even simulate
Stripboard Magic25 Jul 2004 07:42 GMT5
My daughter would like to use "Stripboard Magic" for some upcoming
course work but I have lost my copy. I have tried searching on the net
but to no avail so if anyone could tell me where I can get a copy I
would be obliged.

Cracking ExpressSCH format24 Jul 2004 00:47 GMT1
Has anyone been able to crack ExpressSCh's proprietary
schematic format?  We have some designs trapped in that
format and we want them out.  We need them in OrCAD or
Protel.
LTspice .tran difficulty23 Jul 2004 23:47 GMT4
I am having difficulty performing a transient analysis of 2N2222
phillips transistor (provided by LTspice). This is my 1st time using
LTspice ...i successfully simulated the I-V curves and load line of
the transistor with a DC sweep but doing the transient has been
PSpice Component20 Jul 2004 10:56 GMT2
I'm looking to make a model of an Avalanche Photodiode in PSpice.  I have
the student version 9.1
The way I think of it, I can have a fake digital input into the component to
trigger an avalanche as if a photon hit it, and just have the resistance be
SPICE models of TIP41/TIP42 transistor's?20 Jul 2004 04:37 GMT2
Hi people!
Does someone here have the SPICE model of TIP41 and TIP42 transistors?
My simulator is LTSpice.

Spice model for uA711 comparator19 Jul 2004 11:13 GMT4
I'm upgrading some 30 year old circuitry and need to baseline the old
design. It uses a uA711 comparator.
Does anyone have a SPICE model for it ?
Thanks
Converting Capture (.olb) files to Schematics (.slb) file?16 Jul 2004 16:29 GMT6
Hello people.
The SIMetrix simulator, that I am using the "Intro" version, enough for my hobby
usage, claims to support importing .slb symbol libraries from PSpice Schematics
(and, for this purpose, .sch files from Schematics).
