native cad file in ASCII28 Jul 2009 19:54 GMT1
I have developed a binary circuit using ultiboard and how can i
generate Gerber files and native cad file in ASCII. from the ultiboard
program or the Gerbtool program.
what is native cad file in ascii mean?
power losses across inductive chokes28 Jul 2009 01:57 GMT12
The DC component losses from I^2 * R end up as heat in a choke. I've
received some mixed signals about the AC reactance component of the
impedance of the choke. One theory, is the energy in the reactance is
simply phase shifted, and returned to the circuit out of phase, and
*** Dumb people think making money online is easy28 Jul 2009 01:49 GMT1
It's impossible http://www.kevinkatovic.com/ - 10 years I have been

Crest factor?27 Jul 2009 00:42 GMT5
I see this term in specs for UPS's. Wikipedia describes it as a ratio of RMS
to peak voltage.
That doesn't "grok" for me.
Help me understand what it means re. a UPS whose output is spec'd to be sine
You just give me another clue that you're too stupid, Yup you American dickheads.25 Jul 2009 12:05 GMT3
You kept saying "I'm uneducated due to my poor wording" ok in that sense the whole world is uneducated then according to your stupid logic because people don't speak the same language.   I will settle with "f.ck you American refugees" You'll be refugees in 4-5 months whether you ...
The phony theory of battery/voltage drop calculations of American24 Jul 2009 20:59 GMT103
There is no such formula that can compute the battery voltage drop accurately per say.   Because voltage drop does not depend on your load alone, it depends on power source.  If you don't believe me, try this:
Put a 20 ohm on your BIG 12V power supply, measure voltage drop, record ...
simple audio/video switch24 Jul 2009 13:28 GMT1
I have a cable box with three pins on the back, constant 9VDC, GROUND,
and 3VDC(when switched by remote, normally 0VDC). I want to use the
GROUND and the 3VDC to switch RCA style Video and audio lines, that's
four lines per source (video, audio left, audio right, and ground). I
parts for lamps23 Jul 2009 14:01 GMT9
I hope this isn't inappropriate for here, but I'm looking to make some
white LED lamps (task lights, music stand, etc) since I can't find
anything that suits my needs. I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to a
supplier for goosneck parts or other lamp-arm parts?
DC symbol, line & dots23 Jul 2009 13:34 GMT2
Can you define the meaning of the line over 3 dots symbol as used on
many wallwarts? Does it just mean dc, or unsmooothed dc, unregulated,
or what?

rechargable batteries for solar lights22 Jul 2009 18:32 GMT7
I'm generally OK with electronical things, but hardly an expert on
rechargables, from reading the posts here. So, thanks in advance;
here's the question:
Like a lot of folks, i have a pile of those solar yard lights with a
Crystal Radio Questions22 Jul 2009 13:16 GMT10
I'm winding a coil for a crystal radio.  The original plan says to wind
the antenna coil on top of the tuning coil, whereas another version says
to wind the antenna coil *adjacent* to the tuning coil, separated by about
1/4 inch.
Driving LEDs with a battery pack22 Jul 2009 11:13 GMT175
I'm trying to drive some LEDs with standard batteries (eg. from a
battery holder with 3 AAAs in it). Should be easy ... right?
There's various colors of LED which need from 2.2 to 3.3 volts at
around 25mA and I want to drive maybe half a dozen from the battery
