Amplifier lamp replacement30 Nov 2008 13:50 GMT24
I have an old stereo amplifier in whch some of the indicator lamps

I'm wondering if it's possible to open up the meters and replace them,
if not, hot glue some replacements to the exterior.

Why use Logo for businesses?28 Nov 2008 02:52 GMT3
Your company needs a physical recognition to display itself and that
is where the need of a logo design is felt. Logo is a good approach to
represent a business and also easy to remember.

Mains AC motor speed control27 Nov 2008 22:29 GMT3
I am playing around with a couple of CNC mills. One is a tiny HDPE thing
with a Dremel 300 series drill and the other a larger homemade creation with
a Trend T4 router.
Both the Dremel and the Trend are 240 VAC variable speed but my problem is
About ADC27 Nov 2008 17:15 GMT3

Transformer27 Nov 2008 12:44 GMT1
A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one
circuit to another through inductively coupled electrical conductors.
A changing current in the first circuit (the primary) creates a
changing magnetic field; in turn, this magnetic field induces a
Xtal vs. Resonator27 Nov 2008 00:14 GMT14
I noticed some catalog listings for 'resonators', which are portrayed
schematically as a xtal with  two included caps to ground.
Are they xtals, or something different, and what are the pros/cons (if any)
over xtals?
What range should my POT be?27 Nov 2008 00:11 GMT23
Okay, so I have this motor and it is powered by a 24VDC power supply,
and I would like to vary the voltage going to this motor. This motor
draws 0.4A with 24V. I understand that connecting a pot normally to
this motor will burn out the pot rather quickly, so one must use a NPN

I found this old part in a controller of this elevator modernization I

Insulators25 Nov 2008 21:23 GMT6
I bought a big potted neon sign transformer on ebay, but both of the hv
insulators were destroyed in transit (this is me, having a positive
attitude...).
Anyway, I'm wondering where I might get some new ones to replace the broken

I have some electronics theory questions and some electronics
simulator questions pertaining to an Armstrong oscillator.  I have
done some reading and have tried to come up with a design on my own.
Most books just show a general diagram with no specific values.  I am
