What capacitor should I use on my AC adaptor to boost 4.5 voltage to 5 volt or a resistor to get it from 6 volt? I know the theory but I would rather not test it on my ipod;-) Thanks,

If a circuit just calls for something like a 1 Ohm resistor, with no other info, would it be bad to use a Current Sensing resistor there? What would be the best way to approach looking up one to get, when no other info is oprovided at to type or brand?
