Hey guys,
I was thinking of a new concept whereby we could
square the amount of information stored in a bit. Currently, the
information stored in a bit is whether the bit is on or off. To put it

"Goosing" with a higher voltage29 Apr 2008 14:58 GMT7
I have an application where I'm driving a device with 5 volts DC.
From time to time it is necessary to give it a short pulse of 24 Vdc
then revert back to 5V.
I have a power supply that has both 5V and 24V outputs.  Can I just

I have a stepper motor from Airpax, modle C82710 that has 6 wires
connected to 2 windings with a center tap. It's rated at 12 volts, 36
ohms from center tap to the end of the winding, and 7.5 degrees per
step.
Fan Motor28 Apr 2008 05:28 GMT12
Sorry for such a simple question, but I've got a few 120mm
240V .125A  (?30W) axial fans like a bigger version of the case
cooling fans in a computer.
I've set one up in a box with a large truck air filter so I can run it
Need help to extend capabilities of a simple proximity circuit27 Apr 2008 20:50 GMT10
I am a total rookie when working with circuits, but I have built a kit
set transonic proximity sensor. I'll explain my use at the end.
Essentially what it does is turn on an LED when an object gets near to
the sensors. I have extended the kit with another kit to add relay
